Barcelona Cruise Port, belonging to Global Ports Holding (GPH), the world’s largest cruise port operator, has received approval from the Board of Directors of the Port of Barcelona to develop a new Terminal C and extend its concession contract.
The project entails an investment of €104.5 million, of which more than €50 million will be allocated to the construction of a new 11,253 m² cruise terminal at the Adossat dock. Designed to enhance the passenger experience, operational efficiency, and sustainability, the new facility will feature solar power generation and shore power supply (OPS) infrastructure, enabling cruise ships to connect to the electrical grid while docked.
