Nassau Cruise Port CEO Mike Maura expects cruise passenger head taxes for the public treasury to approach $200 million this year, as visitor arrivals continue climbing to record levels. Maura added that the port has become an increasingly important source of government revenue.

Speaking to Guardian Business recently, Maura said Nassau has already welcomed 3.5 million cruise passengers through to June, putting the destination within 350,000 passengers of its busiest full-year performance before the redevelopment of the port.
